If your just keeping softies and Lps, I don't think you would need too much more flow. Do you know how much flow it has?

Yup we are going to keep a few hard corals as well though. I think the powerheads are a 600 and a 450 or something like that. That is a good about of flow, i dont like alot anyways

Just see how It goes, you might be able to get away with it if you keep hard corals near the ph.

I would cycle the tank, until there are no nitrite or ammonia in the water. Scooter blennies are cool fish, the high fins on dragonettes usually indicates it's a male.

Well, it's true. You can't add things two hours after the tank has been seeded. No matter what, I'm sure you will have an ammo spike just because your lifting rock up, which moves dead spots. My opinion is test the water, no ammo, no problem. Nitrite is pretty bad too but you can get away with it unlike ammo.

I disagree, nitrite isn't as dangerous to super-hardy fish but most fragile fish will die with nitrite. Why are you adding fish so early?

I would normally agree with you, but think about this. Wouldn't the mixing in the other tank from lifting out the rock cause more of an ammo spike compared to in the redsea? You would have higher nitrite levels in the 30 and it would be less stable because of the 36 gallons less. Either a lot of water changes until the redsea is cycled or move them in faster.

Ok so my good friend that got me in to fish keeping had to get rid of all his tanks becase he went to collage. He always wanted a saltwater tank and especially a tang, but he could never have it! He really really wants me to get a tang (he doesnt care what type) and he even said he would pay for it, nomadder how expensive. I explained to him that a yellow tang or anything besides a kole or a bristletooth wouldnt work and he was ok with that, he understood. I really want a small kole right now and everytime i go to the lfs i see that small, perfect kole tang sitting there. Fat dumb and happy. Put the rocks, sand, and water in the tank today and i now realize how much space there is. It looks like a mansion for this little tang. I am almost convinced....
