alright so this tank is not up and running as of now but will be in a couple months......i will be combining both mine and my brothers tanks together into this big guy

what i already have between two tanks:
-Blue hippo tang (possibly yellow belly, it has yellow accenting and tinting on bottom but not overwhelming) ~6"
    -atlantic blue tang ~2"
    -green mandarin (male) ~2.5-3"
    -orange spotted prawn goby ~3.5-4"
    -true perc clown ~1.5"
    -twin spot wrasse ~4"
-2 clowns either occ or perc not sure one is ~2" one is ~3-3.5"
-seargent major(i think, came in with some of the macro algae i picked up in florida lol) ~.5"
    -green chromi ~1"
    -purple reef lobster ~4"
-2 cleaner shrimp, one XL other regular size

what id like to get(not everything on list is going to be gotten just a list of what id like):

    *= plan on including

-another clown for my single guy, maybe a b&w?*
-either green or red mandarin (female)*
-powder blue tang?(probably only adding 1-2 more tangs so this is one option)
    -white cheek tang?
    -naso tang?
-chevron tang(probably not but if i ever came in to some money randomly hed be in)?
-indigo hamlet?(really like the way he looks but not sure if its fitting)
    -barnacle blenny*
    -algae blenny*
-a harem of anthias probably 1 male, 4-5 female(options bartletts, carberryi, evansi, maldives lyretail, open to other options)....is it possible to mix species?*
    -royal gramma?
    -a few firefish?
-aiptasia eating filefish(if i can find one who wont nip)?
    -yellow clown goby*
    -green clown goby*
    -4 or so neon gobies*
-yellow watchman goby w/pistol shrimp(if i dont go with a jawfish)*
    -long nose hawkfish?
-blue spotted jawfish(again id get if i ran into some money but doubtful)?
    -carpenter flasher wrasse?
    -6 line wrasse*
-some kind of angel preferable large but if i cant find one fitting then probably coral beauty or potters*
    -lunar wrasse?
    -green coris wrase*

so probably going to gets(not definite yet may change):

    -one more clown probably b&w
-female mandarin either green or red
    -barnacle blenny
    -algae blenny
-harem of anthias 1 male, 4-5 females
    -royal gramma
    -3-5 firefish
    -yellow clown goby
    -green clown goby
    -4+ neon gobies
-yellow watchman goby w/pistol shrimp....maybe mated pair of gobies
    -6 line wrasse
    -green coris wrasse
    -1 angel (undecided)
    -probably powder blue tang
-would really like indigo hamlet but not a definite

seems like a lot but most fish are small and dont have a bad biolad....tank will have plenty of rock, a semi deep sand bed 55 sump with probably 30+ gallons dedicated to fuge and a reef octopus 200 extreme protein skimmer....

ill probably add the definites for now a few at a time in order of least to most agressive(other then tang since i will be transfering two tangs in i will probably add all three at once so there wont be much of a power struggle) then assuming the tank is doing well i will add 1 or 2 here and there until i see that its getting tough to handle anymore

does anyone have any problems with my list or any suggestions?

Did you catch your Atlantic Blue tang? They are very pricy but look at a Japanese Borbonius Anthias they are by far my favorite Anthias that i know of.

If a $130 BSJ is too much for the OP, I doubt 5-6 $250 anthias are in the budget ;)

the anthias i could pick up a few at a time and keep them in QT and add them in all at once....i could even start off with a trio and add a couple females at a time....its not that i dont have the money, i find it hard to justify that much on a single fish i feel a lot better spending $130 on 4 fish then one so if it does not do well its not $130 down the drain flat....i dont have the money like that to throw around on a single fish lol

I am just saying the specific anthias he recommended to you cost $250 each  You can definitly get other anthias far cheaper (and look better IMO, I am not a fan of the Japanese Borbonius, even if they were $25).

IMO the stock you have already listed will be too much for that sized aquarium.
-Blue hippo tang (possibly yellow belly, it has yellow accenting and tinting on bottom but not overwhelming) ~6" Min. 180 gallons
-atlantic blue tang ~2"Min 180 gallons
-green mandarin (male) ~2.5-3"Fine as long as you have a decent pod population and a refuge
    -orange spotted prawn goby ~3.5-4"Good
    -true perc clown ~1.5"Good
-twin spot wrasse ~4"Fine but do not do well long term
-2 clowns either occ or perc not sure one is ~2" one is ~3-3.5"Good
-seargent major(i think, came in with some of the macro algae i picked up in florida lol) ~.5"Good
    -green chromi ~1"Good
-purple reef lobster ~4"These can be fish killers and cause avalanches rarely seen as they are nocturnal
-2 cleaner shrimp, one XL other regular size Good

I would not add either Blue Tang to the tank and would instead find a nice Bristle tooth. You could add the blues but good luck catching them when they outgrow the tank or worse cause an Ich outbreak.:(

-either green or red mandarin (female)*Maybe
-powder blue tang?(probably only adding 1-2 more tangs so this is one option)This would work but I would make it my only Tang.Cramming more then one Tang into a small aquarium is the reason people call them Ich magnets.

    -naso tang?Absolutely Not
-chevron tang(probably not but if i ever came in to some money randomly hed be in)?No
-indigo hamlet?(really like the way he looks but not sure if its fitting)Will eat your shrimp and small fish and are very aggressive
    -barnacle blenny*Good

    -algae blenny*Good
-a harem of anthias probably 1 male, 4-5 female(options bartletts, carberryi, evansi, maldives lyretail, open to other options)....is it possible to mix species?*Maybe but don't overstock
    -royal gramma?Good
    -a few firefish?Good
-aiptasia eating filefish(if i can find one who wont nip)? They all nip eventually
    -yellow clown goby*
    -green clown goby*
-4 or so neon gobies* -yellow watchman goby w/pistol shrimp(if i dont go with a jawfish)*
    -long nose hawkfish?

I believe you are seriously over estimating the capacity of a 150 gallon aquarium.

hey you said, "open to other options." I think they are pretty and I also have a very hard time justifying a fish that small for so much cash. I tried catching Atlantic blue tang juveniles and it was impossibly difficult and I never did catch one. I use a Slurp gun to catch fish. It keeps them in perfect condition and works better in most cases than a net.

@vinny my fuge is absolutely packed, isopods, copepods, amphipods and some kind of micro shrimp....maybe mysid? Are all thriving and reproducing hard in my fuge

The hippo I rescued from a 30 tall (only 2' long!) Was beat up and hes been in my 55 for about 3 months and he has recovered beautifully....the atlantic blue is still a juvi(a gift from gf) and has also been doing well for 6+ months....they aren't really side to side swimmers, they like to dip in and out of my caves and grazing....all are fat and colored up healthy...i know the 55 is small for them and the plan was to move them up to the 150, honestly I have seen quite a few tanks with a heavier stock list then what I put up with as many as 6 tangs all doing really well, i will reconsider the stocking list but I was also planning on adding a couple at a time and if it seems like the system has topped out then I will pull back on the reigns, most the fish outside of the anthias and tangs stay small and are mostly peaceful...believe me I would like to keep all fish happy and I posted up here to hear peoples input

....the hippo was originally supposed to be temporary but as I am upgrading I was going to keep him, the lobster doesn't bother anyone he just hangs out in this cave under a30lb rock
