    hello all,

So I've been reading a bunch of stuff about how to corectly stock a tank, and all the guidelines confuse me! 1 inch per five gallons, 3 inches per square foot, inches depend on the fish, inches depend on the filtration, GEEZ! :-[ I wanted to ask you guys if this is too much for a 125G FOWLR: 4" purple tang, 3" bicolor angel, 5" emperor angel, 2" hawkfish, 2" sandsifting (orange spot) goby. I want to add an ocellaris clown or MAYBE a butterfly but because of that emperor's future adult size I think I may already be pushing it. I've got a protein skimmer and some heavy-duty box filters on the tank now. Please give me your thoughts! Thanks - Summer

I don't think your stocking list is off the wall but as long as your nitrates stay low and there's no fighting, you should be ok.

Add fish slowly. Keep eye on water params, esp. if a young tank. You may need to do some frequent and regular water changes initially until bio-filter can keep up with number/size of fish.

    Good Luck!

Thanks a lot - I will do my water changes and add the last few fish in a couple of months!
