Hey guys looking for the right stock for my 210g fish only tank. My tank is by no means ready for this stock anytime soon. I'm just in my first week of the cycling process. My ultimate goal of the tank is to have a cortez (or similar) sting ray and a cat shark. I never have any intentions of putting coral in the tank. Lighting is two 36 inch T5 with two bulbs on each fixture. 220lb's of fine sand for bottom dwellers. As of now i've only ordered 56lbs of dry rock from Reef Cleaners. I plan to add another 150lbs. I've not yet ordered a skimmer, not sure which one to get just yet to keep up with the bioload. Still researching that. With all this being said I know I dont want any lionfish or eel's.

What other suggestions does everyone have to fit with the ray and cat shark? These two fish will be the last to go into the tank but knowing that the ultimate goal is to have these two fish i'd like to put together my list to fit those two approprietly

I'd say any sort of tang you like would work.

If I were doing a Ray or Shark tank, I would try and keep as much of my rock in the sump as possible. You'll want as much room on the sand bed as possible, esp with the Ray.

As for other fish, I'm not sure there is much that would safely stock with your wishlist. Are there any particular fish you like? O certain colors you'd like in the tank?

I plan to build my rock up against the back glass leaving the front half of the tank open and room for those guys to swim. I thought this would also look good since the back side of the tank is against the wall and can not be seen from that side. I've looked at different tangs like the blue powder, achilles, and the naso. I'm not sure how many tangs would be to many though ? What about wrasse, are there any wrasse that would get along with these guys?

Naw, groupers are sedentary rock dwellers, you want free swimming fish like tangs, anthers, butterflies etc.

I thought about a panther grouper and looked into them but they say that they would pick on the cat shark.

Anyone have any luck with a dragon wrasse?
