I have come up with a list of fish and shrimp I am considering with my 75 gallon that will eventually be a reef tank. Does this sound like to much live stock that will eventually be full of corals.

    2 Fire or Blood shrimp
    2 Cleaner shrimp
    1 Green Chromis
    1 Yellowtail Damsel
    2 Percula Clown
    1 Royal Gramma
    1 Blue Hippo
1 Foxface..... and I have read some web sites say not coral safe and some say they are great reef fish. Any input on this one.

if you do this over time you should have no problem. if the foxface is kinda like my sharpnose puffer, then most won't be a problem in a reef tank however there's still a chance you could get unlucky and end up with one that may pick at corals.

heres some additional info on them
The foxface is omnivorous but enjoys algae and other marine plant life. From time-to-time, if hungry, it may nip at corals (usually zooanthids and button polyps). Though not an obligate herbivore, the Foxface does require algae in its diet. In captivity it can usually be coaxed into eating a combination of mysis shrimp, sheets of dried seaweed and marine flake food containing algae. The foxface is popular with aquarists due to its appetite for feather caulerpa, a species of macroalgae that commonly overtakes the rockwork in home aquariums. The foxface is highly skilled at removing this algae and will generally clear an aquarium of it within a matter of days.

Sounds good. You could probably fit a couple more cleaner shrimp which are very good to have. You might have some trouble with the damsel as they can be very aggressive. the hippo tang will definitely outgrow a 75 gallon tank. You could still have him until he gets big, but then you would have to bring him back to the pet store or find a bigger home for him.

    Good luck with the tank

FYI shrimp will eat each other if there is a large enough difference in size.

Not a bad list for a mature tank...

Is going to take a while for yours to get there.

    Be patient.

While waiting learn about different fish...you may want to rethink later...ie. Maybe consider a pretty fairy wrasse instead of that hippo...;)

If the hippo will get to large for the 75 gal. does that mean the Foxface will get to large as well ? I will look into the wrasses as well. Is there any tang that would not out grow a 75 gal.

Also what is the advice on clown fish from an experienced reefer. I have read they tend to host corals with out an anemone and if this is so does it bother the corals or hurt them in any way?

yes there are a couple like the common yellow tang(also known as the naughty tang according to wikipedia lol). your foxface just barely fits in your tank. it needs a 70 gallon tank.
p.s. if you really want a hippo your tank will be able to handle it if you have decent filtration. just get the larger fish later after getting the smaller fish

yes they may host corals. usually the coral will adapt to the fish really you only need to worry about it if the coral is stressed already.
