Sounds good, everything but the Foxface. The chromis is a mellow fish and might get a little terrorized by the yellow-tail. I would get the chromis first and make it a little bigger than the damsel. A 75g tank is big enough for the both of them. I have three damsels in mine.

When you get your clowns, I would get them in the beginning. There are certain anenomes that certain clowns like. Research it and try to get a good match. I got a maroon clown and it ended up hosting a condy. Not exactly a match made in nature but it worked out. I did not do my research on that one. I did not think it mattered. Oops. I would also get the clowns hosted before introducing corals. Once they bond, they ain't goin' nowhere.

The hippo tang will probably outgrow the tank. It can get upto a foot long. I'm with OmarD. I would get a wrasse. I am going to get a corris wrasse as my last fish.

And I would get the fish as juveniles. They adapt better to tank life. Odds are better that they will live.

Also, take advantage of the LFS's tanks. Don't buy a fish that has just come in the door and take it home. I would put a deposit on the livestock and see if it lives in their tanks for a week, then take it home. Especially with tangs. They are soooooo ich prone. So. I have rambled once again. Sorry about that. Hope this helped.

John you don't recommend the Foxface may I ask why. And also one thing I will never buy is a anemone. That's why I was asking about clowns hosting other corals and hurting them. I do not want to buy something that is taking away from the reef like a anemonie. I would rather have nothing at all if it effects the natural order of life in the wild.

I have just read that they are not completely reef safe. You could take a chance and perhaps you would get specimen that would be reef friendly. I lucked out that way with my coral beauty. Some CBs are OK, some are not. .....and it doesn't mean if you get one, it will stay that way. There are instances of fish changing their minds down the road and getting a taste for corals (flame angels are one of these).

Hmmmmm no anenome huh? Not even a small one? An itsy-bitsy one? One that will just wave at the passing traffic without trying to kill it? I understand that one. I have read a few threads here that have outlined the demise of fish secondary to anenome hunger. There was one particular thread about a month ago that, the way it was written, was really amusing. Not for the fish or the aquarist, but boy, the author had style.

    I love this hobby........John..

EDIT: And K+ for your concern of the reef. There are times when I feel that my love of nature is not being reflected by my seemingly selfish actions as an aquarist.

Thanks John and I am not holding anything against anyone who does keep the anemone but that's just the way I am. I don't want my hobby in any way have an impact on something that takes so long to grow back and replenish it self. Karma back at you my friend and thanks for all the input.

Just an fyi, fire shrimp are known zoanthid eaters. I've kept one that mysteriously died. Never saw it eating any of my zoas though. Also known to be reclusive. Given enough L/R and you'll rarely see them.
