I have a Foxface, a Clown, a Cardinalfish, and a Yello Coris Wrasse in my 65 gal. I want to add a small school of Green Chromis. How many do you think I can support in my tank? I was thinking 4 or 5. Anyone have experience with Chromis?

Try to add chromis in odd numbers. They like to school this way(evens), while one normally stays back at "home-base" at watches out. I would say add 3 or 5.

I wouldn't count on them to school, if that's what you're hoping. I (used to) have 5, but only three of them would hang out. I'm now down to 3, where 2 will hang, and one goes off and explores by himself. The only time they'll pull together real tight is when they feel threatened or startled. As for bio-load, 4-5 seem fine for your current setup.

They wont school that well for you in your size of a system. I run a school of roughly 100/125 but thats in a 500g system. In smaller numbers, they will break off and go their own way most of the time.

If you want a cooh schooling fish for your size of a system, look into the green bar goby

I had 7 in a 28 gallon bowfront and they schooled pretty well. I am guessing you will need about 11 or more for your tank. Sort of makes keeping coral rough with that high of a bioload.
