Banggai Cards have a bluish color to them. I have blue/green chromis. I started with five and am down to three! They are kinda boring in color to me and I wish I got the yellow tailed ones mentioned above instead.

Just that Divers Den sells groups of 5 all of the time, and that they aren't the best shippers. The ones that do acclimate to your tank seem to do fine. Cardinals are not big swimmers though. They will at least "hang out" together in the tank, especially if there is a lot of other activity.

what do you guys think of Blue Gudgeon Dartfish? as a blue "schooling" fish?

OMG - I just typed up a whole response and lost it. Anyway, I didn't know what that fish was so looked it up. It doesn't appear to be a "schooling" fish but likes to be kept in pairs so that's nice. FWIW, I've read several times that one really needs to have a larger tank for fish to "school." Yours would be considered somewhat small for that to happen. I used to have 3 blue/green chromis and am now down to one and it is a mystery about 2 of them disappearing. Although my tank is only a 54, they would kind of hang together in the tank which was kind of cool.

There is a tank on here (it's a 310 I believe) and Stylaster is the owner which is unbelievable in terms of its awesomeness (if that's even a word) :) anyway, he has several threadfin cardinals that school but again, it's quite a large tank.

Just to add in another thought, definitely check out hawkfish as Corailline suggested. They are perchers and quite active and have comical little personalities. I have a lyretail hawkfish and it's one of my favorites.

I just looked up the red stoplight cardinal...if they have "schooling" behavior, they really are neat!

Yea i am probably going to go with some type of cardinal fish.

I was looking into hawkfish but don't they get aggressive towards gobies? And I really want gobies/a goby.

    I might be wrong though.
