    just a heads up, most fish only school out in the wild. schooling occurs either during feeding or predation or stress. so don't be mad if they don't school.:-/

    all the schooling fish I'm going to have will not have enough of their kind to school.

    What? ok have you ever had firefish, chromis, or anthias just to name a few? or looked at them at the LFS?

    dartfish,tangs in big tanks,foxfaces, etc ...

    exactly, look how many fish they've got shoved into one tank. tell me those fish aren't stressed.

    what you see at the LFS is just a group of species hanging together to be safe. in your own tank, would you want your fish to feel atleast a little less stressed then at a "for sale" tank.

    Like i said, some will school if they are eating, IF you have a big enough tank.

    anthias are the few of any fish that actually "school." So yes you're right about anthias. My LFS has even told customers that most fish tend to not school. they aren't "in it for the money" there are they?

    i don't want to come across as rude, or whatever so i'm sorry that we disagree, we are all entilted to our own opinions after all?

    and if you dont believe me, google anything along the lines of saltwater fish schooling in a tank.
