    Are you cycling with these fish or did you mean you added these fish a week ago after you finished your cycle? (The scooter blenny, unless it's eating prepared foods already, will likely starve in such a new tank). If you're cycling with these fish, the royal gramma and scooter blenny need to be returned to the store because they aren't hardy enough to live through the cycle.

    ill second curt on that. scooter blenny is not a first week fish...for most not even a first year fish. some algae is to be expected in a new tank but maintaing low nutrients in the will go a long ways in preventing an outbreak. pristine water is almost always a good thing.

    The tank was already cycled when I put the fish in. I worry about the scooter too, and in hindsight wasn't the best purchase. He seems to be doing fine and has picked up some brine shrimp that was in the substrate.
