Store bought water - is this safe?

    My LFS owner and his wife just had a kid and I needed freshwater badly...

    I purchased several gallon jugs of water and want to know if this is safe.

    Publix brand - purified water - ozonated - purified by rev. osmosis

    Yes if it says RO it is safe. Ozonated I believe is a process that removes any type of bacteria or algae from water, kinda like chlorine but without the use of chemicals.

    It will work, but DI is better. If it's an emergency, RO water is of course better than no water, but I would do a water change with RO/DI when you can.

    Thanks peeps....it has been a while since I have been here, but when i had a quick question, I knew right where to turn to.

    Geez- I hate paying over a dollar for a gallon of H2O!

    Over a dollar? sheesh thats crazy. It is .50 per gallon of RO/DI water at my LFS.

    fyi: some grocery stores have ro machines out front that sell 5g jugs for .30-.50 cents a gallon..
