I searched the forum and can't find an answer to this ?. Had to rearrange LR, have a few extra small pieces I can't use right now, but want to keep. Is it ok to put it in sump on the side under the incoming flow from tank? I have a wet/dry filter, all equipment is on opposite side of filter from where I want to put the rock to store it. thanx

yeah in the sump is fine. You will lose coraline, but as long as there is water movement, you will keep your bacteria.

Get a clip on light fixture from Home Depot and a 6500K compact fluorescent bulb and shine it on your sump. You'll be able to save the coraline that way too.

I keep about 150 lbs of LR in my sump because I don't want a cluttered tank. I see no problem with it.

Thanks to all. The pieces are really cool looking and I'm sure I'll need them again.
