Just a quick question on storing a tank in a colder area. I have to move my brand new tank into a side room that doesn't get heat at all. It's pretty cold in there. Do I need to have any concerns about the silicone getting hard/brittle or anything like that? I think at the most it will have to stay there for 4-5 days. I know I"m just being OCD but just wanted to make sure as I love this tank!

    Thanks!

I'm sure it will be ok for a couple days.
My 90g that I tore down is in my garage which is really cold. I put vaseline on all the silicone to keep it from drying out over the winter.

    +1 on above

I have never even considered it to be honest
but now you ask the question
I am thinking cold storage/ warehouses in northern climates ?

Im sure there must be 100s and 1000s of tanks sat in unheated warehouses during winters - in places like Northern Europe, Canada etc

Should be OK, might just want to let it sit a day in the warmed room before working on/with it.

Thanks guys, I did think the same thing Steve, on how storage warehouses, I'm sure, aren't kept warmed. I'm just so excited to get everything set-up and wanted to make sure as we prep our house.
