Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone can identify this crab.

I was out fishing at Sister's Creek (in Jacksonville, Florida) and hooked up on some rocks and reeled in the rock with me. On it was a pretty good sized oyster. I decided to use the oyster for bait and broke it open. To my surprise, inside the once live oyster was this crab. You can't really tell from the photo, but it is translucent and I can see it breathe and pump water through its body. The whole body was soft and it had no eye stalks; it had two "whiskers" at the snout of its nose. It also did not react to any visual stimuli. It was able to use any of its legs to reach the top opposite side of its body (for instance it could use its right hind leg and touch the upper front top left side of its body). The size of the crab was about 1cm across and I believe it is full grown as it had an oval shaped egg sack on it. I've never heard of any species of crab resembling this crab. Can anyone help me identify it?

Well I posted this in another forum and it was identified as an oyster crab, also known as a pea crab. They are a delicacy in some areas. Hehe maybe I should try deepfrying it next time!

Ew, I don't think I would eat something that looks like that. LOL, looks like a white tick.
