Strange Creature

So I got my CUC from ReefCleaners today and in to some red gracilaria macro, after placing it in the tank and observing for signs of life I noticed some strange movement. I have no clue what it is and would try to take a picture but it blends in so well you can only tell its there when it moves against the current. It is very thin and stick like, red/transparent in color like the macro algae, and has long thin appendages. It spends its time hanging in there and waving what looks like a mini claws and sometiems curls into a ball and is about 1-2inches in length.

Any idea what the heck this thing is and should I be worried about it??

Also on the back of the nerites there are small ahrd barnacle looking things with little slits in them that have what looks like a small feather hand come out and go back in often. What are these?

 

Sorry I can't give you an ID, just be watch out for popping noises and losses of fish...then you may have a mantis shrimp.

 

I am pretty sure it couldnt kill anything larger than an amphipod, it is so thin and needlelike if anything the fish should eat it.

 

Well that's good you could siphon it out maybe if it's keeping you up at night

waaay to many!! I did not bother to count the bag was filled with them and as I looked closer some of them were actually more reef hermits!! I posted a picture in my build thread if youre interested, my wife was ready to kill me and wants me to thin out the heard to take back to a lfs lol

Man you guys are good!! IT looks like a skeleton shrimp to me so what the heck is it anything to worry about?? looks like future fish food when I get a dwarf angel lol
