Strange LR growth

    wow that purple clove polyp looks awesome

    id like to get a piece of that for my tank never saw that one before

    it's growing really well in my tank. it's starting to look like wrassman's picture. will it keep growing, even though i only have normal fluorescent lighting? do you feed something like that?

    the LFS has those, but they call the purple tree corals??? is this just another common name?

    this is a tree coral they do come in many different colors

    thats what mine looks like, but it is the color of the one wrassman posted. do i feed it? how do i keep it alive? it is growing pretty quick...

    If the coral is growing you probably don't have to do anything special.  If you can find it at www.liveaquaria.com they will have a pretty detailed description of the care they require.

    Stomatella - the small finger nail shell snail, they'll breed in most systems - good critter - mainly nocturnal feeding on micro algae

    i have one that seems to be doing pretty well there mostly filter feeders it seems. i add my calcium, reef plus addidtives, and a filter feeder food about twice a week. my tree, mushrooms, polyps, leather seem to be thriving with that, they catch food floating in the water also

    i actually have the lower end lighting 10 k pcs. thats why im staying away from the real hi light corals for now. eventually i will add another light strip then i will go with the higher lighting corals
