Strange slug with green tuffs?

    What in the world is this? He is about 1/4 inch long. Acts like a snail... But no shell with bright green "tufts"?? ImageUploadedByTapatalk1360359158.426468.jpg

    Do you havea coral that looks like your little friend? If so he is probably a predatory nudibrach of that specific coral as they often feed very specifically on one particular thing and mimic t he looks of their food.

    If not it is still possible it hitchhiekd on a frag from a tank that had its food source. If so no worries there as they do not sway from their original food source and it would just starve in the absence of it.

    Do you have bright green zoanthids by any chance?

    It's is a nudibranch.

    I do have many different types of zoanthids. I have only seen one if these little guys.

    There may be more than you see. Remove any you see and you might want to check your zoas to see if you find any or their eggs and remove all that you see.

    +1, and if you are able, dip all Zoas in something like Coral Rx. I found about 5 or 6 in my tank, found all I could, and dipped all Zoas. I haven't seen any since.
