Ok so theres this thing crawling around my star polyp colony. I dont have a pic because i opened up my camera bag to find my new few month-old dslr's screen busted...but anyway it looks like a snail with no shell...but it has the beginnings of a shell....kind of like a white barnacle looking thing on its back...when i saw it i had to have it gone it was DISGUSTING so i tried to grab it with a pair of scissors but its FAST!!!! it kind of rocks back and forth and slides...i never want to stick my hand in the tank again....i know i dont have a picture but any help would be awesome.

really would need a pic to be able to identify. lots of possible guesses. you can go on a hitchhiker website and maybe find it there. just a guess of the top of my head, nudibranch or sea slug. but guessing is inexact.

It could be a few differant things knowing odd creature's of the sea.... But here's my 2 guess's Stomatella snail = Good or a Limpet = Good..

But here's a link with them on it along with a bunch of Hitchhiker ID's..

Fast moving+beginning of a shell usually=Stomatella. Search this forum or Google for pics.

    Cheers,
