I found a white worm looking thing about a 1/4 of an inch long. It moved really quickly and was floating towards the top of thank no where near my rock I have 80 lbs caribsea sand and probably 30 lbs base rock and 40 live rock.

And a few snails and hermit crabs.

I spazzed when I saw it and got it out as quick as possible should I be worried if I see any others? It moves way to fast to get a picture

Most likely some type of bristle/fireworm.I wold not worry or remove any more. They are just a good part of any clean up crew.

i have never seen a bristle worm swimming in the upper part of my tank or swimming at all for that matter. Did you say that you removed the worm from the tank? Can you take a picture of that worm?

I too have never seen bristle worms floating/swimming. Always sticking their heads out of rocks in my tank.

I've seen a video of what I thought was a bristleworm swimming. It was a decent while ago, though.

I once saw a small white ribbon shaped worm swimming near the top of the water. It was just after the lights were all out. I got my net out but just as I got back to the tank I saw the worm "explode" into a white "dust". Over the next few days hydoid worms showed up everywhere. It's best to get it out if you don't know what it is!
