When I checked on my tank(NC12) this morning, I saw my snail sitting up on the sand bed with a hermit crab seemingly eating my dead snail. When I went to pull out the dead snail. SUPRIZE, the snail had the hermit crab. I wish I could have got a pic. I went to get my phone to take a pic, but when I got back the snail was back on the live rock.Anybody have any similar experience?

Interesting, I would think the hermit had died for the snail to eat it.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Hermit crabs are evil, they like to kill snails for 2 reasons.

    Food
Shelter: Add some other shells to the tank for the hermits to inspect and move into, if you have not.

Sounds like you caught them in the act just before the crime.
