    Below is the link to a video i made with my phone when i discovered a creature i never added to my tank.

    Can anyone ID it??! And explain how it ever reached my tank??

    A Polyclad Flatworm eating one of your snails. A fascinating creature, that is eats snails and Tridacna (clams), and some coral types, although corals rarely in my experience. If you see him again and you have clams you might want to remove the flatworm. They are very cool but not always reef friendly.

    Wow big flatworm!! I was thinking it looked like one of those limpets that doesnt have a big shell that took over a nerite shell lol

    You're right it does look like a limpet type. The fact that it appears to be actively pursuing or eating a snail leads me to believe it's a Polyclad.

    @the op nice catch on the filming there, it's a rare to catch them in the act.

    Lol...im here watching tv and i look over and i this monster lol... so how did it get into my tank?? I had this tank set up since september and i never seen it before

    Live rock. Lots of reef inhabitants are nocturnal.

    Whats the best way of removing this animal? i wan tto do this the right way i dont want to be reckless and cause a huge problem

    You'll just have to manually remove him next time you see him. You can try using snails as bait in a trap but you'll have to be diligent about it as Polyclads move fairly quickly and can move in and out of small openings easily.

    I would use a fish net, that is what I have used. You can touch it too. It's not harmful in anyway, except to snails and clams. Underwater they are graceful, out of water they look like the blob.
