Anyone here have any experience with strawberry crabs? I was tempted to buy a little guy today; fish store said they were 'non aggressive', ate algae/detritus etc..... Is this true? I'm a little nervous about crabs after our emerald crab incident (ate my mushroom, knocking over a lot of stuff, etc..)
    Thank you!

I have one in my 120 gal reef tank his shell is about 1 1/4 across and while he is avery cool color he mostly hides during the day I only see him through spaces in the rocks during the day. He is active during the evening but he is very non-aggressive and very slow moving and shy he has never knocked anything over to my knowledge. I think that emerald crabs are more of a problem when they get bigger I have a pretty large emerald and he is much more of a trouble maker. So if he is not too expensive , I would go for it but dont be surprised if you hardly ever even know he is in the tank.

If you like it they will eat it. :)
Whisper this like they did in the movie, "if you build it they will come."
