Hi all, I just discovered that my sump had stray voltage inside. Now my ph monitor is working correctly, thank god, I was going crazy! Now, my question is, could that stray voltage found its way up to the display tank??? I wanna say yes, but I need to hear it from the experts. My second question is, can stray voltage affect any/all living things or just some? Can it also affect water chemistry? I know the 2nd question is a little stupid, but I was raised with this mentality, " the only stupid question that you can make, is the one that you dont ask ". Yes!.........I'm sticking to that story....lol;D I await your replies, thanks........Luna

LOL I thought that was your problem I have seen it many many times and the answer to you two questions is yes and yes did you add a ground probe to the sump ? That will take care of the problem..

Here is some effects of Stray Voltage and once this has happened most cases are never cured:

Aquarium Fish HLLE / LLE Disease

Be sure to test your outlet to be true ground before assuming that just pluging in the ground probe that you are golden. In this hobby I have found that to check and double check everything.

They should be looking much better how long do you think you had the problem. It may take a while to recover from the stress depending on the length of time your animals were exposed.
