Well, I dunno about free, Steve, they were over $2 a piece LOL. I figure once this round hatches, they'll have been a reasonable price and the next round will be free! ;)

Here's a pic. You can see 18 egg casings in this pic. The rest are on the acrylic bar that's right under the overflow space to the return area. I think there might be one on the back of the thermometer suction cup too, but I can't tell for sure.

    Just a little update...

There are about 10 more egg casings in that corner!
There are other casings in the tank, and I noticed the other day one looked empty. Sure enough, tonight I spied 3 tiny snails on the glass. Not sure how long those casings were there, though, so not going to time those in particular. I'm keeping an eye on the ones in the corner. A few of them I can already see the little snails looking like actual snails, so they may be out & about soon!

OK, how about an update with a pic? :D

You can see it's tiny little schnozz, and I got a copepod with an egg sac in the top right corner for scale LOL.

So, I noticed 2 nights ago that one of the egg casings in the corner was empty. It was one that was laid on 2/14. That makes it about 15 days till the babies make their escape. And there were 8 on the front glass tonight, then 8 more (that I could see) on the side glass, and several on the chaeto LOL. Man, when the other 30-something casings hatch, I'm gonna be LOADED!!!

som3, I've never shipped anything before...might be a while before they get big enough, though they seem to be doing so pretty fast! I sure won't be able to keep them all, though!
