Iv been dosing cal and mag using randys recepie, after reading stuff on strontium, the ratio of calcium to strontium is 100:0.1. when adding 500gms of calcium chloride, can i mix 0.5gms of strontium chloride to it? will it be ok?

Currently im adding Mag during weekends with WC, cal. everyday and ALK is added to topup water (mixing sod carb and bi carb)

I would avoid adding anything I do not test for. I have read that salt mixes contain more strontium than natural sea water and sometimes 2x as much. Too much strontium can cause your corals to decline.

Do not dose anything you don't test for. Normal routine water changes will keep Strontium, Iodide, etc., etc. replenished. An OD is worse than not having enough of the less-used and trace elements.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Absolutely no reason to dose Strontium especially in smaller tanks. Water changes as stated are a much better way to supplement the loss of trace elements.
