moonlights do help. you can get small ones. they are LED lights so it doesnt suck up your electricity bill.
anemones all need lots of light to do well. They obtain most their nutrition from a symbiotic algae (zooxanthellae) that lives inside their tissues. Lots of light means from 3 to 6 watts of bulb per gallon of a standard depth aquarium. iron supplements could benefit the zooxanthellae in the anemones too. Moderate current, in addition to clean water, helps exchange needed elements and rid the anemone of waste products. Some of the more delicate anemones seem to prefer higher temperatures in the range of 78-80 F and pH in a consistent range of 8.2-8.4.
    hope this helps

Fishpoop, Yes it is a long tentacle anemone. He just finished a tasty krill. Seems happy right now. There are alot of rollercoaster rides in reef keeping.

i know its okay though. ive had bubble tips before. i just got a long tenticle anemone and to tell you the truth he moved lastnight and wasnt attached to anything and i began to freak like i did way back when like i use to with my bubble tips.
its cool to get a moonlight cause anemones glow in the dark due to their zooxanthellae. just like other corals

I put an anemone in my tank 5 days ago. iplaced it on top of live rock where i could view it. In the morning it found a spot it liked on the base of lr in the rear of the tank.Only problem with that is no one could see it.I had to move a lot of rock to get to the rock it was on. I did not take it off the rock i just turned the rock 180. Its up front now where it can be seen. Its seems to be doing well has not moved yet. I just wish my two OC clowns would host.
