    The pinchers work good and strong in one direction -> closing, not opening. That's why lobsters' pinchers can crush down with great force, but a rubber band can hold them closed. It's kind of the same way with an alligators jaws; you can hold the mouth shut, but you'll have a tough time holding it open. ;D
