    does dog hair hurt reef aquariums? im going to buy a enclosed hood but i would like to now

    I wouldn't think it's too much of a concern unless your dog has been sprayed/treated with some type of flea/tick spray or some other contaminant that would be on the hair.

    nop we dont do that it is a eye sore to see flying around the tank tho >:O

    I hear you...we have two cats that like to sleep on top of the nice warm hood on the tank, LOL!

    My wife's boxer is on the pill and I use to find his hair in my TO and tank all the time. Didn't seem to hurt the tank or corals. Now that I put a top on my top off and went to a 40g breeder for a sump i don't find it any more.
