Stupid LFS

Every time I go to my lfs I always get someone who doesn't know what the heck they are talking about!
it just amuses me to hear what all the employees say

my favorite is when I got into a 5 min argument over clownfish. The guy said a female will go back to a male to form a mated pair! He then had to get his manager to tell me that I was wrong and clowns can go to male, female, and then back again! Haha

so I hope others can share some funny experiences!

 

Tell the manager to join 3reef and make his employees read all the articles before their allowed to speak to customers

Ive been told I can use my tap water for a reef tank.....

 

I had someone try to tell me once that a piece of dead coral On a rock was alive and something actually growing out of the rock. Lol, it was clearly a dead coral skeleton.

 

I watched a LSF OWNER tell a young man that he could put a 2' Smooth hound shark (Spelling?) in a 29 gallon tank and he would be fine. Two feet long mind you.
She also told the kid he should mix a maroon clown with a black clown, clarkii clown and two false percs in that same 29 gallon. Also that the clowns HAD to have an anemone or they would all die.

 

hahahaha, that takes the cake from all the storys I've heard from LFS, thats hysterical

 

I know! I was so mad that I went over to the kid and told him to get the hell outta there and do a lot of research and to look up 3reef.
The woman was furious with me. ;D

 

That actually reminds me of a P*tco here in Morgan Hill, the manager was telling customers that when feeding fish: You are to feed the frozen "live" food, and add one cube per gallon of aquarium water. Doing so was the ONLY way to ensure that the fish and corals would be properly fed.

I was like.... dude...

 

Thats a lotta cubes. Id be broke long ago if that was a feeding requirement
