So am I the only with with stupid snails that don't know how to move or what. It seems like every couple of days, I look in my tank to see one of them laying on their shell and not being able to roll back over again. So I reach in the tank, put them upright again, watch them take off like normal, and then flip it back over again in a week or so. Is this normal or what?

I just quit turning them back over, figured if they were that stupid, they would get what they deserved, the learned to rite themselves, threatening to replace them seems to work for me....

Leave em alone, they will flip over eventually. Im sure it happens in nature all the time.

I do nothing for the snails. They can fend for themselves, as they do in nature. Nobody flips them over in the wild.

Actually, astrea snails cannot right themselves if they fall on the sand. Supposedly has something to do with their natural environment not being sandy so they never developed the ability. They'll do just fine if they fall over on rock. I always pick mine up if they fall in the sand.

Yeah, it's my astrea snails that keep flipping themselves over. And they always seem to land in the sand too. I guess I'll just have to keep flipping them over. Geeze, so much work for a cheap little snail :)

Had the same issue, with some orange snails I had. I thought they where dying. They would flip over at night. Then be upside down during the day. Finally a crab got it and took its home.
