    Beside the "Christmas" is better known as a Melanurus wrasse and the "Coris" as a Canary wrasse, I'm okay with them. :)

    Im glad i barely passed the fish inspection lol Also evolved all my wrasses are happy with no sand bed. They each have their own cave in the rock works when its bed time :)

    That's natural behavior for the Cirrhilabrus; they don't sleep in the sand.

    That's not natural behavior for the Halichoeres however. I've seen it done in other tanks, and they do tend to adapt in this fashion, but I suspect this continuous stress will affect their longevity.

    Also picked up a potter wrasse. So far he's settle in well and everyone is getting along well

    For clarification: A Melanurus and Christmas (Claudia) wrasse, is not the same species. The one pictured, is definitely a Melanurus.

    Leopards really need a sandbed. Unfortunately I feel this one will be short lived for you.

    Common names aren't always "common"; some people might call a melanurus a christmas in certain regions of the world. Now, I agree with you in that it's not the best choice for a common name and could be misleading, but there's no standard on common names. Have I ever mentioned I hate common names? :)

    kinda like common names for corals lol When i started this hobby i learned all the scientific names cause then everyone knew what you are talking about.... now they give you a blank stare and think your speaking martian lol
