I try to keep the mg at 1450, im going to check my levels again this friday after giving a week for the reactor to kick in at the high rate. Good thing about massize water volume is changes happen slowly.
I do have fungia babies... i now have neon orange ones and the green ones with orange mouth

How do you keep your acrylic so clean of coralline? It is a constant uphill battle for me.

I use a softer acrylic material to clean the tank walls. I also use a tigershark magnet every other day

    Still looking amazing.

Mr. Urchin would be making me suspect there.

And lastly, you shouldn't need us to scold you for the skimmer overflow bucket without a float switch! :)

So others have posted enough that it seems I am not a stalker of this tank.

So did you see that article on Chalice by Unique Corals, and what did you think of the light requirements?

Beautiful as always and could always see more.::)

hehe so far the urchin has been a model citizen for the last two years. As for skimmer float switch, well the bucket and sump is in the garage so if it does overflow out the garage door it will go. The skimmer cant empty out the sump cause it is elevated, the most i would lose would be about 10 gallons of water.

The UC article was pretty much spot on for the lighting. There are some chalices out there that handle bright light just fine. Its kind of a hit or miss thing you have to experiment and see what happens. Also, i fed mine once a week which kept them going pretty well
