Hey guys iIran into a problem with my protein skimmer, in that it as in water that was to deep so i put a little bit of Styrofoam in the sump to raise the protein skimmer and I was wondering if the Styrofoam would harm the fish.

don't use styrofoam. it breaks down.
buy some PVC pipe and cut of a few pieces to raise the skimmer.
you may be able to even zip tie them to the base.

i say no to styrofoam. pvc, eggcrate, acrylic, are all viable options. id stay away from any material that breaks apart with minimal contact and degrades in saltwater.
