    Last night open shot

Here is the shot I took last night - not the best pic - but was fully open with extended branches.

In the shade to prevent algae growing on it and in high flow. Feed it food for SPS coral like Coral Frenzy.

I just looked at the chili coral - it says that it's a soft coral - but this has a hard skeleton.
    will they eat live phytoplankton?

I think it is from the same family. It may have grown over a piece of coral. Their bodies can be pretty firm also. It is definitely non-photosynthetic since it opened after lights out.

Ok updating - so popped him in a cave ten minutes later it started to crawl - YES CRAWL the side of the cave fully open. pulling the small piece of rock he is attached to off the sand. Now this morning he was closed up and back on the sand. So will be interesting over the next days
