Is there such a thing as a reliable on tap RO/DI? I can't start altering this place because it's mine on a year to year basis. So I want something completely non-permenant that affixes itself to a sink tap. I don't care how slow it is... so long as it save me a trip to the LFS every week. BTW we don't pay utilities BWAHAHAHA!!! If I could I would have cut into the walls and put in a few more outlets a while ago. But yea... theres my question. Answers much appreciated.

For sure. They make a faucet adapter with a small outlet for the filter. Plug the tubing in, turn the valve and make water. When done, unhook the line and turn the valve off. The adapter stays in place. When you move just unscrew the adapter.

Ok, now what isn't going to cost me two weeks groceries and still the job I need it to do? Hahaha, crazy how much things are these days. "Want to make your own chemically pure water? $289, sir. And a pound of flesh if you please"

Haha. 'tiss an expensive hobby to say the least. I don't go to the LFS without spending $50.00. BTW you're in Fairfax, which LFS do you go to? Marine Scene or Centerville. Or are you like me and troll them all. LOL If you haven't made it up to Mr.Coral in Frederick, you should. Some nice stuff but pricey at times. He does deal though.

I'v hit a few places between alexandria and Centreville. I like centerville aquarium because my wife is family with the owner. Pristine is also good, that's in alexandria. So far the winner would have to be Vienna aqauriums. Anyplace where I can have a koi fish jump and grab my shirt while i'm looking at starfish is a fine place indeed. The loser would have to be Superpets... hands down most unhelpful place ever.
