i saw my first dead horse :( The poor horse had suffered from a really bad colic, apparently it was fine this morning during feeding, then afterwards the workers noticed something was going wrong so they had hand walked him while it was pouring down rain outside. Then he just started thrashing around like crazy, they couldn't save him because it just happend so quickly and all of his intestines were all tangled up.

    Sad day, RIP Skylar :(

yea and that's the crazy thing, the horse was perfectly helathy and nothing wrong with it. Makes me worry about my sister's horse that i take care of, he has gas colics all the time, so now we have to be extra careful with him.

It's the stupid weather a lot of horses seem to colic when the weather changes

I think thats why I will stick to my fish. the loss of a fish is bad enough but then multiply that by the loss of horse...nope fish for me.

yea losing a horse is not fun, one of my previous horses had passed away shortly after i sold her. The vet was giving her hock injections and while she was injecting her, my old horse had sat down and just collapsed, they tried to do everything to save her, but again just happend so fast.

losing animals sucks. i have a 150 with trhee sliders in it ive had them for a year perfectly fine. I used to have four however, but one day i got up and noticed the guy wasnt moving. No good explanation for it, water was good, eating habbits were good. It just sucked. Im sorry to hear about the horse.
