My Six-Line Wrasse is by far my favorite ( I also have a Clown and Dragon Goby)...His personality is really intersting the way he spends his day swimming in and out of every nook & cranny in the Live Rock...he's just real fun to watch. I'm looking for suggestions for another fish with a similar personality...one that really likes to interact w/ the rockwork.

The clown just stays at the glass and the dragon goby cleans the sand all day (he does an increadible job by the way)...but I'd like another fish that will also swim through all the caves and such...preferably one that isn't shy and won't hide all day.

My Tank is 45 gallons (4 months old) w/ 50 lbs of Live Rock and as you can tell, lightly stocked...any thoughts?

you can always go with a couple blue/green chromis, they are good for movement in the tank and super easy to care for. Just get an odd amount or they may pair up and pick on eachother.

I also have a clown and a six line wrasse. Mine are both exactly the same, the wrasse weaves through that rock work and the clown just pushes his face against the front glass all day::). There are many different wrasses to choose from too, such as the 8 line wrasse and fairy wrasse. Also, Banana Wrasses are comonly available and would be a good candidate as well, given you have the enough room for it!

    Hope this helps,

Hi, you don't say the size of your tank but I like the Coral Beauty. For non stop swimming and exploring, not to mention their heartiness, you can't go wrong. I also have a Royal Gramma, They are quite the characters.

    Thank guys...

I had considered the Coral Beauty and the Royal Gramma....I had a couple of questions about them.

Is the Coral Beauty Reef Safe...I really like the look of this fish but I've seen mixed comments about whether or not it will mess w/ the corals. (I don't have a reef tank now, but may eventually)

Regarding the Royal Gramma, some people I've asked commented that theirs hid in the rocks quite a bit? Does yours pretty much stay out?

all i ever hear about sixline wrasse is how they "constantly swim in and out of rock work"..however, be wary because they will outcompete a mandarin for food ( i think you mentioned that you had one).

Falvarez, I have a gramma and he does come out in the water column quite frequently. He just is spooked pretty easily, but he'll come right back out

I think the royal gramma is a cool choice for your tank.

The coral beauty is really hit or miss with being reef safe. Some won't touch any coral, while others may continually pick at them as well as clams. Remember though, it may not be fully reef safe, but that does not necessarily mean it will destroy all of your corals systematically. It may find it likes a certain polyp or lps, but it may also just nip and be done.

I appreciate the feedback...I think for now I'll look into getting a Royal Gramma. Sounds like it would be a good fit for my tank.
