    Just gotta say john is AMAZING, we have been emailing back and forth all night and he answers all the questions i have and i really feel like at this point im his ONLY customer wow...now if we could get every one like him........

    Get a couple fuzzy cheatons.. from him.. they're cool. I agree with frag and zach about not over doing it. 1/3 like you said seems about right. Most of the recommended things I've seen about how big of a cleaner crew seem to really over do it.

    What exactly do the fuzzy cheatons do? Are they hardy?

    whys everyone hating on the blue leg hermits??.... i would suggest

    100+ blue leg hermits
    100 cerith
    25 astrea
    3-4 emerald crabs
    2 brittle stars
    and the aforementioned suggestions for the refugium

    i am personally a fan of a self sustaining reef, with the exception of keeping the front glass nice and clear

    when out on a reef in puerto rico this summer i was surprised to see the large number of small hermits, in this case blue leged... maybe 3-400 in a 3 sq. ft area.... the would just move in herd.... ive found this to be common in most shollow water reef which is what most of us are trying to emulate
