Hi everyone, its been a while since ive posted, been away at college and havent been around the tank that much, as of right now I have a 55g reef system with softies and one LPS, current fish stock is 2 Clown fish and a Potters Angel, I am looked to add 2 more fish but havent really found any that click with me/ I would be concerned that the potters angel would pick on them to much. I am looking for something like either a type of wrasse and a goby, however I dont have a lid and I have lost a 6line in the past because of not having one. So fish prone to jumping is out of the question. Any thoughts on a fish that would go well with the tank needs/ what you guys think looks cool or has interesting personalities would be greatly appreciated!

Mandarin Dragonet's are cool, I had one in my 75g. and loved it. You will need a lot of pods though to keep it fed.

Even clowns have been known to jump :-/

Get some kind of a cover on there. 1/4" mesh works great and won't affect your light. Once that is done, one or two wrasses would be great, a Blenny (such as Midas, my favorite Blenny), Goby, Royal Gramma, etc just for a few suggestions.

My leopard wrasse has never shown any interest in the moving too fast toward the top. As a matter of fact, he stays pretty low in the tank. It's kinda tough sometimes to find one that wants to eat though.

No, that is a light diffuser. That has 1/2" holes and believe it or not a lot of fish can still fit through. Bulk Reef Supply sells 1/4" mesh that you can cut as needed. Do some searching on 3reef for what others have done as there are plenty of great options out there to cover your tank.

I just prefer glass tops though.

Ok so I am ordering the mesh so wrase are an option, I am heading back to my school later this week and they have a mandarin program in there wet lab where they train them onto non live foods and even pellets, I will most likely be able to get one. I have one question that I have often heard many mixed reviews from, that is when a mandarin is trained onto pellet food, does it need to be fed in small doses multiple times a day or will it be able to live with feeding once a day or once everyother day?
