I took my 72 gal down and replaced it with a 120
I started that morning at 8:30ish and finished 10:00ish that night. I used 120# new base rock and used approx. 40# of live rock from old tank to seed. I added 120# new sand. transfered sump/fuge from 72 over all in one day. I used almost all my old water and alot of new water. I did get a very small cycle and a little algea outbreak but has cleared up in less that 1 1/2 weeks. It could have probably been done in shorter time but I took breaks and basically done it by myself. One suggestion is to make a list and have everything on hand when you start.

Your setup looks to be almost identical to what I am doing (your signature list). Only difference is mine will have halides and I was looking at the Octopus reef 150 needle wheel skimmer.

My LFS suggested the 160 extreme so thats what I got. I was going to go with the MH but after talking and some research on the T5 I decided to give them a try. So far no disappointment. I am not saying I won't switch to the MH but for now im happy

Jawz closed down, big als I dont care for their corals.....Ive heard barrier is nice...just havent made it up there yet.
i was buying corals at eco Nature in plantation but he sold it and I reallly havent bought corals from a store recently...just private sellers on craigslist that are moving and need to get rid of them.
