    Hey Everyone,

Do you guys have any suggestions for a good RO/DI system? I am just starting to set up my first 30-35g saltwater tank and don't want to waste a $1/gallon for RO water at my LFS.

    Thanks

Spectrapure. Not much need to shop given the success rate and price.

Either Spectrapure or Air-Water-Ice. Both are excellent choices.

I use a mighty mite from air water ice. It's worked well so far.

The Spectrapure is less to purchase and less to operate over time so is the better deal.
They treat and test all their RO membranes so they have a higher rejection rate (removal efficiency) plus they use better quality filters so the carbons last longer and do a better job of protecting that membrane and they custom blend all their DI resins in house for a better overall system lfe and better water quality.

Spectrapure is having a sale now on refurbished units. I bought a refurb and was sent a new unit.
Also, what you buy might also depend somewhat on where you live. I'm in NYC where the problem is sediment rather than high TDS. I needed to get a pre prefilter to remove rust. The Spectrapure Maxcap DI offers cheaper operating cost in the long run but since I get 0 TDS out my RO it's unnecessary.

Sounds like SpectraPure is the clear winner. Thanks for your feedback!

Also, are they easy to install/ uninstall? The reason I ask is that I rent and would want to take it with me if I leave.
