I am trying to figure out how to do my rocks while we are working on repairing the tank. I am going to drill the final centerpiece and use epoxi and rods.....but here is one idea i am tossing around. I wanted a shelf for my clams and an area for my non-photo pieces. I am thinking I am going to do island type pieces, so what ye say about this as center.......

it will go directly into the center between the 2 overflows.

honest opinions,,,,,,, i am not set on this, not even sure I like it!!!

I have not saved the piece even, the rocks are all back apart and in rock trough right now....

well this is only 1/3 of the rocks. I actually have about 250lbs of rocks i can use in the tank. I was just wanting to get a centerpiece and then have other rock structures coming off on the right and left sides of the tank.
    thanks all

meh, i don't like it. I like the idea you described, I do not like the structure in the pic. I get the idea that you're trying to make a shelf with the bonus of shade under it but would go more of a bottomless (well, no rock floor) and more cave like...

yeah i am not sure about it........

Honestly, I am tossing the idea around of not putting the tank back up. It has been down now for what 1 1/2 weeks and there is something about not having the constant humm of electricity flowing through the house and the quietness of not having a big tank running that is kind of nice! It has definatly given my electricity and my ac a much needed break in this 100 weather!

sometimes, rarely, my tank gets shut down... it's creepy quiet in the house then... I know what you mean though...
