I have a question about my setup, I recently got my refuge online and stocked with cheato, and live sand. Lots of it has grown because of the lights, and thousands of little bugs on the glass sides...My skimmer has stopped producing as much skimmate that it made before the fuge came online. Skimmer is clean and still set at the same level... Will the sump area with the green stuff make the skimmer produce less?

The cheto is helping clean your tank a bit. Because you have changed your tank you may need to adjust your skimmer level a bit just for fun to see if anything changes, however the way I see it your fuge is doing exactly as it should so congrats to you. You will constantly be making changes as your tank matures and as your equipment breaks in. On my old 75 gal after having it setup for 3 yrs my remora pro got about 1/4th the junk it used to and yet my levels were always dead on. Thus a mature tank is established and as close to the natural environment as we can get which is your goal. :)
