Ideally you want the overflow from the tank going into the skimmer compartment to maximise its cleaning of the water.
Not sure why you want 4 compartments better of with 3 going Skimmer,Bubble trap,Return pump & Fuge.
Put a T in your return line & run a flow of that for the fuge & make the compartment for the return pump as big as you can as if your like Me youll end up with more pumps in there,I have 3 pumps 1 return,1 to chiller & 1 for 2 FBF.
Not sure about that skimmer sorry.

That's one of a thousand ways, it will work with valve control. I am one who likes to skim before refugium sending more water pass than skimmer is rated. I have also taken water out of refugium back to main tank, works well also. Many good threads at 3reef showing what you are asking in different ways.
I always try to get the biggest sump/refugium that i can fit, with as small return area as needed.
