    I would set the skimmer on a tray, the smaller 7" chamber will then limit the return section to a max height of 7" and your return pump is already about 5" tall leaving very little room for evaporation.

    I am actually using an external Iwaki 100 pump. I am going to drill a hole low down there on the left and install a bulkead.
