sump design please help

    from left to right my sump will be refugium, return, skimmer. still trying to dial in the baffles according to what your trying to say Todd Sails.

    No use the right section for the skimmer with baffles as stated, put a T in the line and a valve on the section to the skimmer area. This will allow you to control the flow to refuge section. You want the portion of the T that is at a right angle to go to the refuge and place the valve below the T on the line into the skimmer section. You will use a single baffle to create the refuge section.

    oh ok i see. hows this look then? thanks again for all the help. also, can i do this all out of soft tubing? i was hoping to not have to use pvc but thinking about it pvc may look cleaner and even be easier. if soft tubing will be fine id like to do that. will the overflow bring water to the sump AND the refugium like that with a t in it?

    actually yeah only question now is can i do this with soft plastic is that better than pvc or vice versa also are there any tips for making it as quiet as possible. i realize i put my valve in the drawing on the wrong part of the tube too.
