Can anyone help me out with information on building a sump/fuge for a 10 gallon nano.

I was thinking of using another 10 gallon or 5 gallon
Not going to drill, But use a HOB overflow box. Maybe a DIY box?

Also how many baffles? 2 or 3?
I would just like to get all my equipment out of the DT.

The other 10 gallon or 5 gallon would sit behind the DT or next to it.

Unless you have water in the tank and it's cycling, you should really consider drilling. That way you can get your return line drilled too.

That being said, it's prob NOT worth doing a dyi overflow box if your not going to drill.
Between your TIME and materials, your better off just buying a hang on overflow box.

What size display tank? Unless it's like a 20 or less, most folks will say stay away from a 5 gal sump.
You need room in the sump for the back syphon of display tank water from your retruns when the return pump goes off (power outages) and also what the overflow will drain.

There is tons and tons of pics and talk of sump design on here and the web.
What YOU need will depend on, what skimmer your using, the water level it needs to run at, what return pump your using and so forth...

You may not have room for more than 2 baffles in a 10 gal sump if you plan on moving all your equipment in there...

Also, go with glass baffles. It's prob cheaper to buy 2 sheets of glass and a glass cutter than to find one sheet of plexi glass acrylic and the glass baffles will bond correctly with silicone.
