This is a awkward thing to describe, but it has me paranoid and I want to get you guys opinion.

At night, I have LED moonlights on my DT with my refugium light on all night. For some reason, I can now see the light in the DT at night lighting up the sand. It has not done this until maybe 1 week ago and I have had the tank set up for about 3 months. I can put my had under the tank and it blocks the lights, and I looked under it and there is no leaking. Is this common??

i had that happen in my predator tank when i had it, because i didnt have a very thick sandbed....i'd buy some black construction paper and tape it to the underside of ur tank to block the light out for an easy inexpensive fix

I would try and paint the underside of the DT black if possible. If you stand is anything like mine, the construction paper may get too much moisture and break down rather quickly.
