sump lights

What lights should I be using in my 30 gallon sump with live rock . I have been running a fl uval g 6 canister for a year. So I am new to sump tanks. please advise

 

Unless you want to grow algae (like chaeto or caulerpa) for a fuge, you don't need light over the sump.

If you're doing a fuge, I would just go with a 6500k compact flourescent flood light style bulb from Home Depot or Lowes. You can get a clamp fixture for that for about 15 bucks if you want gooseneck, cheaper if just a clamp works for you.
