If I was to switch to a sump. What size sump do you suggest or how do you calculate the size? What size pump and the calculation and what pumps to buy. The tank is a 125 gal with 130 lbs of live rock. And as always thanks in advance

Try to get the biggest sump you can fit under your display tank. The suggested return pump size is one that can pump 10 times the volume of water in the sump per hour.

+1 to this, with the flow being calculated for the head you have on the return line. You can use the vertical length of the return line rounded to the next foot as you head for a reasonable approximation of head.

You'll see alot of debate on this, whether 10 times the sump volume or tank volume. I just switched from over 10 time tank volume to 10 times sump volume. System is much quieter, less turbulence and bubble, and everything is working just as well.

I'd say you'd be looking at a sump between 30-60 gallons, which means a 300-600 gph pump after head loss.
